Course Information
The objective of this new course is that students who have already completed the previous Holistic Yoga modules can develop their practice to a higher level through initiation into Kriya Yoga.
We cordially invite new students to join this course, which has been designed so that they can easily join the rest of the group.
This new course is designed so that students can benefit equally from the teachings in either of the two formats: either attending the in-person courses or following the online course, from home.
Sri Swami Purohit belongs to the same spiritual tradition as Paramahansa Yogananda, the Giri Tradition.
In his book, Autobiography of a Yogi, Paramahansa Yogananda describes the science of Kriya Yoga this way:
“The Sanskrit root of Kriya is kri, ‘do’, ‘act’ ‘react’; We find the same root in the word karma, the natural principle of cause and effect. Thus, KriyaYoga means ‘union (yoga) with the infinite through a certain action or ritual’. The yogi who faithfully follows this technique is gradually freed from his karma, that is, from the just chain of balances between causes and effects.[…]
Kriya Yoga is a simple psychophysiological method by which human blood is freed from carbon dioxide and receives an additional amount of oxygen. The atoms of this additional oxygen are transmuted into vital energy, which rejuvenates the brain and spinal cord centers. By suspending the accumulation of venous blood, the yogi becomes able to slow down or prevent the wear and tear of tissues. The experienced yogi transmutes his cells into pure energy. Elijah, Jesus, Kabir and other prophets were masters in the use of Kriya, or a similar technique, by means of which they caused their bodies to materialize and dematerialize at will.
Kriya is an ancient science. Lahiri Mahasaya received it from his great guru, Babaji, who rediscovered and clarified it after it was lost in the Ancient Ages.[…] Babaji told Lahiri Mahasaya:
‘The Kriya Yoga that I am offering to the world through you, in this nineteenth century, is a resurrection of the same science that Krishna gave to Arjuna thousands of years ago, which was later known by Patanjali, Christ, Saint John, Saint Paul and other disciples.’”
The practice of Kriya Yoga requires that the body, mind and emotional capacity be strong. Therefore, the course has been divided into 3 different modules, each lasting 6 months.
The new Holistic Kriya Yoga has been designed in 2 parts:
First, an 18 month long course, divided into 3 modules, each lasting 6 months.
Second, a complete year of personalized practice.

What makes Sri Swami Purohit courses so unique?
Sri Swami Purohit is one of the few spiritual teachers in the West capable of transmitting spiritual energy to the participants of his courses.
For true development to occur, first, the soul, or inner being, must be awakened. The soul heals the mind, body and heart, creating deep harmony within you and with everything around you. Everything you need is within you: peace, love, wisdom, joy; you just need that connection to awaken. This is the most important role of the spiritual teacher, as each transmission of energy allows you to experience a higher level of consciousness. Over time, and with practice, this refined awareness can become your natural state, giving you the gift of permanent peace, joy, and wholeness.
This course is not designed to teach you difficult yoga poses or complicated theories. It is a training program to help you develop your own physical and emotional abilities and grow as a person in all areas of life.
The goal is for you to enjoy a full life, without limitations. This can be achieved with the simple but very effective techniques and practices of Sri Swami Purohit.
Anyone can participate in this program. There are no limitations due to age or physical condition. All it takes is an open mind and the desire to grow and develop as a person.
You can participate in person or online. However, we recommend that you be consistent and follow the course every month if you want to achieve the aforementioned benefits. Where possible, we encourage online learners to attend a face-to-face session at least once in each module.
Whatever format you choose, in-person or online, this training will require effort and commitment on your part. However, if you complete each session of the course, and are consistent and committed in your daily practice, we guarantee that you will achieve the desired results.
