THE KEY STAGES OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH
Spiritual growth is a very personal matter, and the journey varies greatly from one person to the next. Two people who are following the same spiritual path and doing the same practices may have very different experiences due to the many variables involved, such as karma (our experiences from our past lives), family and societal conditioning, religion, education etc, which have all helped shape our way of thinking, our personality, our desires, and our destiny.
During this retreat, Sri Swami Purohit will explore the key stages which are common to all spiritual growth, and which will allow you to delve deeper into your own personal journey and identify which stage you are at. The tools and insights that Swamiji will share during the 4 days of the retreat will help you chart your progress, clarify your aims and objectives, and work out the path which is best suited to you.
Any kind of spiritual or emotional growth requires spiritual energy. Most of us have around 3,000 to 10,000 units of spiritual energy but 1 million units are needed to achieve self-realization. For growth to take place, the energy must be stored and purified, a process that takes place gradually, one level of consciousness after the next. Each time you reach a new level, your energy will fluctuate between the minimum and maximum for that level, until it finally stabilizes at the maximum. Before moving on to the following level, it is very common to experience a challenge of some sort; this could be a conflict, or an emotional situation, or perhaps a temporary loss of faith in the growth process itself. These challenges are a way of gauging your capacity and readiness for the next level of energy and awareness.
At this retreat you will:
- Explore the different levels of energy and consciousness, including their benefits, challenges, and requirements.
- Discover the most common obstacles experienced at each stage and how to recognize and overcome them.
- Study the relationship between the different levels of energy and the three main areas of spiritual growth: concentration, meditation, and Samadhi.
- Develop a series of practical skills designed to help you navigate your spiritual journey with success.
The purpose of this retreat is for you to gain a deeper understanding of your personal journey and spiritual growth. No aspiration is beyond your grasp, and once you have clarity on your current position
Everyone is welcome!
No previous experience is needed. The exercises are apt for all ages and fitness levels.
Please bring comfortable clothes and a yoga mat or similar.

PRICES:
- Shared room (twin, triple o dormitories with bunk beds): 400€/person
- Single room (limited number available): 450€/person
COURSE DETAILS:
The retreat will begin at 5pm on Thursday 28th March 2024. We request that you arrive at 4pm to allow time for check in.
Sri Swami Purohit will give a welcome talk and the first session of the retreat before dinner is served, at 8.30pm.
On all other days the activities will start at 7am with a yoga session (no experience needed), before breakfast at 9am.
Sri Swami Purohit will continue his teachings from 10am to 2pm, with a short break mid morning.
Lunch wil be served at 2pm and then students can enjoy some free time until 5pm, when teachings begin again unil 8.30pm. There will also be a short break mid afternoon.
The retreat wil finish after lunch on Sunday 31st March.
The price includes full board accommodation (all meals are vegetarian and homemade) and all the activities with Sri Swami Purohit.
